Looking to visit your children or grandchildren living in Canada? You may be eligible for a Parent and Grandparent Super Visa if you:
  • Are the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
  • Have a signed letter from your child or grandchild inviting you to Canada which includes a promise of financial support for the duration of your visit, information about the number of people in their household along with phone numbers, and a copy of their Canadian citizenship or permanent resident document.
  • Have proof of paid Canadian medical insurance that is valid for 1 year from your entry date and at least $100,000 CAD coverage.
  • Apply for a super visa from outside Canada
  • Are allowed to enter Canada
  • Take an immigration medical exam
How Long Can I Stay?
As a visitor visa with a better term, the parent and grandparent super visa allows you to stay with your family in Canada for up to 5 years at a time without leaving the country. This visa is also a multi-entry visa and you can visit several times during a 10-year period.
